Panos finds some similarities between Odysseus, King of Ithaca and himself. In fact, he thinks that each of us lives a ling journey, equal to Odysseus, but cannot recognise it.
"We have at least two things in common, old Odysseus and me. We are both Greeks and we have both been away on a very long journey with a very uncertain goal. Sometimes I think my journey has been en ever longer one than of Odysseus. As a homage to Odysseus, the great believer, his struggle is included in my book. No other comparisons are needed."
